The village Beli Osam sits along the valley of the river Beli Osam, from where is taken its name. The village is located in the northern foothills of the Central Balkan Mountains and is only on 7 km southwest of the town Troyan.
Interesting is the fact that the sign of the end of the village, marks the beginning of the locality Chiflika where you can enjoy the relaxing effect of the hot Troyan Mineral Springs, but all online maps show that the distance between them is 11 km.
A few kilometers upward the mountain slopes and south of the village, are located the ski slopes of Beklemeto where winter sports fans can enjoy their favorite activities.
Troyan Balkan combines majestic views of the mountains, the variety of flora and fauna species, the picturesque rivers and the hot mineral springs, that is why it becomes an inseparable part of the National Park “Central Balkan Mountains” – one of the three national parks in Bulgaria.
Located in the middle of this picturesque area, the village Beli Osam is in the vicinity with many of popular tourist destinations in the National Park “Central Balkan Mountains”. The most famous are: the reserve “Goat Wall” – used to protect the endemic sort of the Central Balkan Edelweiss, the Roman Road “Via Trayana”, the locality “Beklemeto”, Rock Phenomenon “The Ears” and Troyan Thermal Springs.
The region of Troyan Balkan is also rich of cultural landmarks.
